Connor plays in the snow & Emma starts cereal!

Gross - January 28th, 2013
Well lets start with Baby E and her adventures in cereal.  This little girl is going to eat us out of house and home before too long, so when we went to her 4 month doctor appointment, we asked if we could start her on cereal.  She was eating anywhere from 6-7 ounces every 3-4 hours.  That is alot for this little munchkin.  So that night, we started her on oatmeal.  Her doctor appointment by the way went great. Had a few shots, is about 14.5 pounds and as healthy as ever!

The first time around of course with cereal is not always ideal, as you can see from her picture above.  We started slow, mostly because we all got sick and it was just easier to give her a bottle than fight with her on cereal, but after a while she started to take to it.  I still think she is not a fan of it, but we have also started her on squash and she really seems to like that. She still likes to take a bite and then spit some of it out, but all in all she is eating really well.  We will start some fruits this weekend, either pears or apples, and we'll mix that with her oatmeal to see if she likes that better.  I will make her food again like I did with her brother, which to me is so fun!

This is what I think of this mommy (with a Connor photo bomb in the background)

Snow!!
We also decided to take Connor to see snow for the first time this past weekend.  My Aunt and Uncle live in Payson (about 90 miles / 150 km outside of Phoenix) and had gotten alot of snow on Saturday, so Sunday we drove up to visit!  The snow in Payson had melted a bit, so have a nice visit and lunch, we left Emma with Aunt Pat and Uncle Barney and drove up the road about 30 minutes and got a few more inches of snow.

Mommy! Snow!!
Connor had a great time!  I wish I had better shoes and mittens for him (next time) but we don't see snow often :) He had a great time running around, falling in and throwing the snow.  Aunt Pat taught him how to eat snow and Uncle Barney taught him to never eat yellow snow :D  It was the perfect amount of snow for Connor, for I know the day before and after we were there, Payson had a TON of snow.  This was the perfect amount for our first snow outting with Connor. Next time, we SLED!

Make it snow mommy!!
Enjoying Connor's first snow!
Thanks to my Aunt Pat and Uncle Barney for letting us come up and play. Connor was talking about visiting his Aunt Pat and Uncle Barney and snow all the way home.  He even asked to "go skiing" which has to be something he learned at preschool during Winter Week because I know we didn't teach him that ha ha!

Lots coming up next!  Valentine's Day with the Pickards (cookies!!!)  Dbacks batting practice and tons of other fun stuff to do since spring is coming (finally)  Not that we have been without warm weather for long, but man, it got really cold around here for a few weeks (and not Arizona cold, we are talking freezing, well below 32F/0C, try around 25F/-4C. No thanks.  this Arizona girl is ready for her warm weather :)
