Merry Christmas

The month of December was a bit crazy. I wont go into detail but with holiday's, families, me going back to work, it was pretty much a blur. So I'll start from the beginning and work my way down the month.

Decorating cookies
Every year we would get together with my mom and aunt to decorate Christmas cookies. Now that the kids are getting older, its fun to let them do it.  They had a great time! Waylon is really good at painting and decorating, while Toni and Connor as still getting the hang of it, but still had a great time.  After looking at these pictures those, I'm pretty sure Connor ate more frosting than he put on the cookies :) We also made hand prints for the kids to paint and put on the tree, below is Connor really working on his.

My little man painting his hand print.
Merry Christmas!!

Shortly before Christmas Eve, I was at my desk and Jon, Connor and Emma were all sleeping (Jon was pretty much sick for the month of December).  I hear Connor talking in his crib as usual, I hear a thud (nothing unusal he throws things all the time) But then I hear the little whisper of "I did it" and little man came running out of his room. Yes, Connor escaped his crib.  When I asked him what he did he simply told me "I'm all done mommy." That you are my son.

Bye bye baby sheets
So that night, we converted his crib into his toddler bed.  My little guy is no longer a baby. So we went and go him new sheets and had him help take off his old bed stuff and put on his new bed stuff.
He is getting so big so fast!!
Let put on new "Cars" sheets
Big boy bed!!
He has done really well in his big boy bed.  We have a gate up so he can't wonder but I haven't seem him make an attempt to vacate the room. He has fallen out (once) but he didn't even wake up when he did that (ha ha!)  But he seems to be doing so well in it!!

Papa and baby Emma
Christmas Eve came and we all headed over to my Dad's for his annual Christmas Eve dinner.  Its a nice time to get together with my dad's side of the family and visit so they can see the kids.  We have been going over to their house for as long as I can remember on Christmas Eve.  To me, I always knew Santa was on his way when we made our way over to the Smith house.

Yeah new PJs!!

Christmas morning finally came.  We had been tracking Santa on the Santa came with NORAD and knew he was on his way.  We saw him visit our family in Poland and last I saw him was around St Louis, MO at about 12:30am.  We woke up around 8 (my kids don't know what early means nor what Santa really means yet) so we made our way downstairs to open a few gifts.

The one gift to rule them all
There is always "1" gift that you want for Christmas, or you may not even know you want.  For me in was my Voltron Toy, for Ralphy it was his beebee gun ( you'll shoot your eye out!)  For Connor, it was his Little Einsteins Rocket.  Now mommy went thru hell and high water to find this toy, since they don't make them anymore and everyone selling them wants your months rent for it.  But I managed to find one for him just in time for Christmas. It has yet to leave his side (mommy 1!)

Christmas morning at moms
The way the garland is set up it almost looks like a post card!  Another family tradition is breakfast at moms.  We are starting to grow as a family you can see, we had the Van Horns with us this year and baby Emma.  Always such a good time at moms house, plus we have great breakfast and fun toys!!

Babcia and Emma
After some naps we headed over to Ciocia Lidia's house for Christmas dinner.  Santa came to this house too for these kids made out like bandits!!  Plus we got great Polish food!!

Cousins Sophie, Olivia and Connor
Merry Christmas!
This time of year can be very crazy for all the places we have to be in a short amount of time but none the less I am very thankful for each and every one of my family members. They each bring us something special that we treasure.

Emma's first Christmas
Merry Christmas Everyone!!
We love you all!

Jonathan, Courtney, Connor and Emma
