Emma is 2 months old!

Pretty Emma - 11/24/12
Princess Emma is now 2 months old!  As Connor likes to say "I cannot believe it!"  Well neither can we!  It seems that just yesterday we found out we were pregnant with her, then I was pregnant forever, she was born, and now I'm getting ready to head back to work which means my little girl is 10 weeks old!  And just like her brother before her, she is SO HAPPY!!

Shortly after Emma passed her 1 month mark, she began to sleep in her own room. As we did with Connor, when she turned 6 weeks old she was out of our room and into her own.  It was touch and go there for a bit, and there have been many nights were mommy or daddy have spent the night in the guest room sleeping next to her, but she is getting the hang of it now.  In fact, the last 2 nights she has slept thru the night! (11-7) which makes mommy very happy since I start work on Monday the 3rd.  Usually though she will wake up anywhere between 5am and 7am to eat.  She still takes her binkie but she is starting to sooth herself with her thumb. Its very possible we might have a thumb sucker on our hands :)

Emma also had her first offical holiday, Thanksgiving.  She did very well and Mommy loves these get togethers because everyone wants to hold her and I am totally ok with that.  See previous blogs regarding our Thanksgiving this year.

Sweet Emma
Baby girl has also started smiling.  She has a great big dimple like her brother (and mommy) and is just as cute as ever.  Her eyes are still changing color but I think they will be brown in the end. Not quite as dark and Mommy and Connor, but probably more like Daddy. She lights up when she sees anyone she knows, especially her mommy, daddy or big brother.  She is such a good baby, I can't believe I was blessed with not only one great kid, but two.

The day has come though for mommy to go back to work. I return with mixed emotions of both happy and sad.  Happy that I will get to go back to the land of the living, as I have been up here in N Phoenix by myself and these little ones for far too long but not sure if work is what I really want to be doing. Since I recovered from Emma's birth so much quicker than Connor's, I feel like I have been gone alot longer.  I will miss both my littles when I go back but I know they will be in good hands as they are going back to Gammies. Connor will only be there for a short while for if you can believe it, in January, he'll start PRESCHOOL. So happy and sad at the same time!

Christmas time is next!! My favorite!!
Love the Kolsons :)
