Busy Summer!

Lil C - 11 months
What a busy July and August we have had!  And August is not even over yet!  So much has gone on I'm afraid this will be a long blog, but I will try and keep it simple.

First and for most, Connor is now 11 months.  In a few short weeks our baby boy is going to be 1 year old!  He is getting into everything!  He took his first steps to Jonathan in July but we have yet to catch them on film. He does great at walking with help, everything short of running. He will take a few steps on his own but prefers to crawl as he knows he can do that faster.  I have no doubt he'll be walking before I know it.  He is pretty much eating everything we eat (awesome!) but won't drink out of a cup yet and still won't transition to whole milk yet (not awesome) But I know he will get there soon.

Since our house is slowing packing up, I found Connor under some chairs with Piper the other day.  He just hung out there and was having a great time.  Connor gets along great with animals.

Happy Birthday
For a great girls day/mom's birthday, we all got together at my house for a light brunch.  It was great to have all the girls over with no little munchkins, its very rare that we get to do this.  We had long time neighbors and friend Nancy and Lori over, along with Aunt Pat and of course mom, Colette and I.  Happy Birthday Mom!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa
This past weekend we had abirthday celebration for my grandfather who just turned 90!  Doesn't look at it!  Here is Connor with Grandpa and Grandma.  We had the whole family here (minus a few in Oregon) and it was so nice to see everyone.  Our nephew Carson also came down from Oregon who was born on Grandpa's brithday, he turned 10!  Yikes!!
Smith's in the Pope's Room (time for a bigger room!)
Cousins Carson and Connor
Papa and Toni - showing all her teeth!
Things with the house are slow moving.  We are still just hanging out here but haven't really heard anything yet on whether we can close on it and move on.  Love how the banks and mortgage companies work.  At least they aren't bothering us by phone anymore (small victories)

All vehicles have now been fixed and look brand new!  Jon's truck was in the shop for about 2 1/2 weeks getting repaired from all the damage the storm did in early July.  My car was in the shop for a few days replacing the bumper that a nice 17 year old decided to run into. Never a dull moment in the Kolson house!

Sadly on Monday we have to place our cats in another home.  We have been having a really hard time trying to find a new place to live with all our animals (2 cats 2 dogs) and honestly the cats really hadn't been the same since Connor was born (fighting all the time, destructive) I have never had to do something like this before and even though we did this 4 days ago I'm still very emotional about it.  This will be better for them, and for us.  Its amazing how now that they are not here, how much we catered to those animals (closing doors, hiding things, not have certain furniture out).  This will be a better life for all of us.

Well the next blog should be Connor's 1st birthday!!! I can't believe it!!  Where has the time gone!
Till next month!

Love
Courtney Jonathan and Connor
