1 month already!

Emma Marie - 10-27

Can it really be that our baby girl is already a month old!! As Connor would say in his best Little Einstein's cartoon voice "I cannot BELEIVE IT!" And neither can we!  She is growing so fast and is showing no signs of slowing down! At her 1 month appointment she was 9 lbs 12 oz and was 21.5 inches long.   She has a cute little double chin too.  It is funny because her head looks so big and the rest of her is so tiny :)

We have been keeping very busy during the month of October which has been great as the weather is finally cooling off.  I have been on maternity leave so it has been great to be home during this time. I recovered very quickly from her birth as I wasn't pushing nearly as long with Emma as I was with Connor so I was back to my normal self in no time. I will post another blog of all the stuff we have been doing.

Emma is now eating about 4-5 oz at every feeding and sleeping 3-5 hours a time.  We have been trying to get her to go an hour or so longer at night and sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't.  Hopefully in the next two weeks we will be able to put her in her own room to sleep at night. She makes alot more noise than Connor did so that has had an effect on daddy's sleeping time.

Emma is starting to coo and smile, she is also moving her arms and legs all over!  She has been spending alot of time with family and friends who can't seem to get enough of her! We can't either :)  Connor has been so good with her too. He always wants to hold her and with her.  As he likes to say "I'm a great big brother"  Yes you are little man, yes you are :)

I feel like I'm giving Emma more baths in the beginning then I did Connor, she loves to poop and pee when I take her diaper off and get it all over the place.

Time is flying so fast!  Halloween is in a few days and we'll be making some trips out to Edward Jones and Barnett Delaney on Friday to show off baby E.  Next big holiday will be Thanksgiving!  Emma will get to meet her Uncle Eric!  So exciting!!
