Welcome to the world, Connor Andrew!

So look who finally showed up!!  Connor Andrew is officially here!!  And we couldn't be more excited.!!

As most of you know, last week was a bit rough for me with all the doctor visits and disappointing news but the day finally came.
We were on the list at Scottsdale Healthcare to be induced on 9/9/10 and to our amazement we got the call at 1:30am to come in and get induced.  So after a silent and nerve-racking ride to the hospital our journey began.
We were admitted and they started the IV at about 3am and it took 4 hours for my contractions to become really quick and stronger.  At 7am we were rolled into labor and delivery dilated at 3cm.  After I received the wonderful drug called Epidoral,  in 3 short hours I was already dilated to 8cm and when 11am came it was time for the push.  And boy did we push.  For a little over 2 hours we pushed and pushed for this little guy to come out.  I will admit it was a bit weird because at Scottsdale they do not have you give birth in a "operation" type setting, it was an actual room.  My Dr arrived around 1 to help with the serious pushing and I will admit I didn't think I was going to make it thru the pushing.  We determinded that my Epidoral probably wore off around 1 because the pain was just terrible.  But I managed to get a little bit more of the drug and gave my last push at 2:18 and out he came.  Connor weighed a whopping 8lbs, 1.6oz, 21 inches and I'm proud to say I'm the first (in our immediate family that is) to have their child naturally.  It was very difficult but I could not have gotten thru it without Jonathan.  He was there with me every step of the way, coaching me, telling me to breathe, praying with me. I would have never made it without him.  Both my sets of parents and Jon's sets of parents were there to see hear him arrive.
We had so many visitors come and visit that I can't even begin to name everyone who visited, called, texted.  We also had excellent staffing at the hospital as well, the expierence was great.
We came home yesterday (9/11) and are still working on getting used to each other.  First night was a bit rough, alot of feeding and crying and gas, but today has been great.  We are getting on a schedule now and Jon has been great today about getting Connor to sleep in his bassinet.  Im still in a bit of pain but dr says that should be cleared up by the end of the week.
Thank you everyone again for all that you have done for us during this journey of pregnancy, now comes the fun part.  The journey of parenthood :)
