Can't believe the day finally arrived!! Jonathan and I had our baby shower for Connor and what a great turn out! We didn't do the tradition baby shower just for women, we just had a simple gathering with our friends and family and everyone showered us with love for our future new addition Connor Andrew.
We were excited with all the people that attended that included both my parents and Jonathan's parents. My grandparents even made the trek out from Sun City in the heat for the shower of their latest great-grandchild! This baby is very special for not only is it the 3 grandbaby for my parents, but it is the first grandchild for the Kolson Family! Thank you to all who attended, and to those who sent gifts who were not able to attend. It made the day even more special.
To add to the surprise, my work also threw me a surprise baby shower and it was at complete surprise!! Credits go out to Cathy and Lindsey who planned it (and anyone else who planned it that I didn't know about) and my leader Jason for hiding me a conference room and making me believe that I was actually in there for a reason. Below is some of the girls I work with who came all the way out to my house for the shower, which most of you know is really far from my work. Thanks Amy and Jessica, meant alot that you were there.
The next day after the shower Jonathan and I went and bought out Babies R Us with the remaining stuff we didn't get at our shower. Thankfully it was just little things like bottles and bibs and what not. Thankfully with all the credits we had, gift cards and cash and coupons I had (thanks Colette!!) We ended up not spending a dime of our own money. Now thats what I call saving money!!

Hard to believe that as I write this, we are T-4 weeks till Connor arrives (or at least his due date anyways) We are so excited to see this little guy and excited at all the great people he will have in his life. What a lucky kid!!!

Connor's Baby Shower looks fantastic. I am also going to be the grandmother to a lovely baby boy in a couple of days. The baby is going to be so loved and I also would be hosting a Mickey Mouse baby shower for the welcome. Have just been looking for the affordable event space for this bash.
