Introducing to the World . . .

Baby Kolson!

Oh yes the time has finally arrived where we can share with the world that Jonathan and I are finally becoming parents!! After what seemed like a long and disappointing road, we got the surprise in January that Baby Kolson is happy and healthly and growing strong!!! I first thought I was pregnant, as funny as this seems, when my sister announced she was pregnant in Dec at 3 months and then her best friend said she was pregnant at 2 months! So I knew right away that I had to be pregnant too!! (if even only at 1 month) I just felt it! So we waited until the 5 week mark and got tested and sure enough! Positive! I immediately went to the Dr. since I was considered high risk and he wanted to test my hormone levels. He wanted them to double over a 48 hour period. Well they TRIPLED!! We went back a week later for an ultrasound and sure enough! A little peanut was in there growing strong with a excellent 120 BMP heartbeat!! Dr took us right off the high risk and said "your good to go! See ya in at the 2 month mark!" All went well and we came back for month 3 and the ultrasound and here is our first picture of our little munchkin! They were moving all around and as most of you know, the only ultrasounds I've had were for either non pregnancy related or not good news, so to see it bouncing around, waving its arms and legs and even swallowing was nothing short of AMAZING! The peanut wouldn't keep still! But we could see the heart beating and got our 1st trimester blood screening done and Dr is happy! As is mommy and daddy!! I must say that this pregnancy so far has been a blessing, despite suffering "pregnancy brain" in the first month or so, no sleep and a very small touch of morning sickness, that all seemed to go away around week 10 and its been great ever since! We are currently in week 14!! So exciting!! We are truly blessed for all the prayers that we have been getting over time and how God will let both Jonathan and I help in creating this perfect miracle. Colette is due in the beginning of July and I in the beginning of Sept. As sisters we've always seemed to do things together so why not have babies at the same time! So Cool!!

Despite the baby looking like some skelton creature from the black lagoon, below Baby Kolson is waving to everyone! You can see their 5 little fingers on their head! Or they could be being dramatic like their mommy and placing their hand on their head. "No more pictures please!" Get used to it baby, your entire life will probably be in print :)
