| In Emma's room - 36 weeks |
As I look back on this pregnancy, all I can really say is man that went fast!!! With Connor I seemed to be counting every day till he got here and with Emma it just crept up on me. I think with Connor, being that he was first and we waited so long to get become pregnant with him, I was more anxious as to when he would get here and if he would be healthy. He was a mover but not quite as much as Emma. She is always moving around in there that I never have to worry about her (well you know what I mean) where as for Connor, sometimes I'd have to give him a little nudge.
This pregnacy was also different than Connor's. I was great in the beginning with Connor and terrible at the end, and with Emma it is just the opposite. I have been feeling great, haven't been overheating (which is amazing since it has been 115*/47* outside) I am still eating and walking around normal, my fingers and toes haven't gotten swollen (I can still where my rings!!!) and my back has eased up a bit since the middle of my pregnancy (most likely because she is now up and down instead of breeched - sidewides)
I go to the doctor once a week now and my last appointment (this past Monday) was great. I'm not anywhere near going into labor yet, she has a strong heartbeat of 148 BPM and I am doing great as well. I have gained about 33 pounds so far and I'm sure I will put more on in the coming weeks as she finishs putting on some weight to prepare for her great escape :)
During this pregnancy we have had alot of stress dropped on us in the form of life and work, which has made us a bit crazy at times and has taken Jon out of town alot during these final months, but during all the stress of work and life that seem to be turning my hair gray, I am so thankful for my family who have always been there for me, to listen to me, to hang out with me while Jon has been gone, and make me laugh when I feel another big pile of crap is about to fall on my head (and usually does lol). I would be lost without out "the board" as I like to call them (because I have to run everything by them) which is made up of my mom, Colette and Aunt Pat. I love you all and would be lost without you gals :) I know no matter what it is, I can always count on you for anything.
And now for something you'll really enjoy!

| Baby Shower 08/04/12 |
We decided to have a small baby shower for Emma this year, since most of the big stuff we already had from Connor there was only a few things that I need for her. It was mostly family and few friends and turned out great. Thank you so much for everyone that came, just like Connor, Emma is going to be a loved little girl.

Look at my big boy!! Can you believe that in a few short weeks my little man is going to be 2!! He is growing up so fast and is such a good boy! He is also starting to talk more now which is so great and so funny. My favorites include "What you doing?" And "Who's that? Is that you?" He is doing so well with looking at books, idenitifying things and eating with his silverware. Yesterday he drank out of a cup with no lid and did very well! We have also begun working on using the big boy potty, which resulted in him going to the bathroom on the floor the first time, but he was so proud that "he went potty"
Well more to come as we begin the countdown to Emma's arrival! We still have Connor's birthday and my last few weeks at work to come before she does!
Love
Jon, Cort, Connor and Emma
