Spring Training

Spring training is finally here! This has to be my favorite time of the year! We had to shift to plan be which sucked but what can you do. We try to go to spring training every year, it doesn't matter what team since the Dbacks are in Tucson, but it just so happened that the Dbacks were playing the Mariners in Peoria on Saturday so it worked out perfect! Yeah, not so much. We've always gone to a spring training game about 3o minutes before, bought out tickets (usually good ones) and enjoy the game no problem. Yeah well enter the Dbacks. When we came upon Bell Road is when the line started. It was backed up so far that we went the back way to get in that after we finally in and parked (paying mind you, never done that either) walked up to the booth and completely sold out! Standing room only! Here Jon and I are on date day in all Dbacks gear and we can't even get in. No standing room only for this prego. So we turned around and headed down the way to see the White Sox and Padres play. Wasn't NEARLY as busy as Peoria. We got to sit on the grass and enjoy a great afternoon of baseball, watching the Padres win :) Sucks that we didn't get to see the Dbacks play but thats what is awesome about Cactus League Spring training, there is always a game going on somewhere else in the Valley. Opening Day is April 5th!!! Go Dbacks!!
